It maybe wet, (oh again) it maybe miserable, but we never let some falling water stop us. The walkers are off again for another walk this time at Jumbles Country Park.
Jumbles Country Park is a country park in Bolton, Greater Manchester. It lies on the southern edge of the West Pennine Moors. It was opened on 11 March 1971 by Queen Elizabeth II. It main focus in the reservoir which dominates the centre of the park with walks around the park and routes off down the valley towards Bradshaw and connections into the West Pennine Moorlands beyond to the north. Never been, then get yourself off your sofa and head up.

Despite the gloom, some interesting views across Wayoh Reservoir were gained.
I have been several times to Jumbles Country Park, it was nice to bring the Outeverywhere walkers to this place to explore.

Final leg of the walk took us up along the brook back to Jumbles.
The lower half of Jumbles is a small valley which runs from the reservoir down to Bradshaw village at the bottom. The valley once had a few mills using the water that ran through to power their wheels to make cotton and dyeing clothes during the industrial revolution. Fragment remains of the mills can still be found as you follow the footpaths through this area.
