Out Walk : Dunham Massey

Dunham Massey, well, another new place to visit and explore and very nice indeed. Just out side Altrincham, the national trust estate was to be fair a good place to walk as we also could walk among part of the canal such runs near the estate. Nice good turn out for the walk.

The logs on the crane were used to block of the canal when the canal needed to be drained for repairs. Like locks, they held the water back while repairs where done. Maybe this one still in use as seen the cranes elsewhere bur often very rusted up and unusable.
