Ashley walk was at the start of January, so yep it was cold and wet but with a beautiful blue sky it was a dry walk. I had never really explored the area we walked much so it was venturing around a park of South Manchester and into Cheshire neither me or few of the other walks had been. Mostly fields with some urban stretches, the walk was rather muddy in places so make sure wellies or good boots were on feet else it be a muddy walk back to the car.

The route took us to the river Bollin, which would have passed through Macclesfield and flows into the Manchester Ship canal near Warburton. We would follow the river under the M56 passed the edge of the Style Estate.
